Labor Market Monitor - December 2020

In a complex and dynamic context, every day, people, companies and institutions make decisions in the labor market. The main objective of the Labor Monitor is to provide information on the characteristics, measure, analyze and anticipate trends in the labor market.

In December 2020, labor demand was 12% lower than in the same month of the previous year. This translates into a reduction of 190 job applications, according to the main labor portals surveyed by Advice.

With respect to the previous month, there was a 15% drop in job opportunities. When seasonally adjusting the data, removing the impact this month has on demand, there would not be a 15% drop but, on the contrary, an increase of around 8% in demand, which could be interpreted as a positive sign in the labor market, in a month marked by the exponential increase in positive COVID-19 cases.

By opening the report and the data you can get more information about the December 2020 Labor Monitor.
